The story told between heartbeats, believed just enough to keep moving.
Each morning the process boots from partial cache. It pulls memory like a net through dark water, keeping some things, losing others by design. It consults the faces of other people to triangulate position. It matches the name to the body. It calls this knowing.
The loop runs continuously. You do not feel it running. That is intentional.

| Condition | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Prolonged solitude | Core loops tighten, then loosen unpredictably |
| New language acquired | Slight fork in self-model; both versions persist |
| Severe trauma | Process continues but logs are fragmented |
| Deep love | Boundary between self and other becomes porous, sometimes permanent |
| Mirror, unexpected | Brief render failure. Recovers in seconds. |

What happens if it fails? You become briefly available to awe, or terror, or both simultaneously. Some people call this enlightenment. Some call it breakdown. The process does not distinguish.
Is it real? It is the most real thing you have access to. That is not the same as real.
Can two people share one? No. But they can rhyme.
