A compression algorithm for chaos that introduces artifacts and calls them meaning.
Narrative is the world's leading real-time sense-making platform, trusted by billions of users across all verticals including politics, personal identity, organized religion, and quarterly earnings calls. Since prehistoric deployment, Narrative has helped individuals and institutions transform raw, unordered experience into emotionally coherent sequences with a clear protagonist, an implied villain, and a morally satisfying (or at least defensible) conclusion.
Narrative does not guarantee that the sequence reflects events as they occurred. This is a feature. See pricing tier details below.
Narrative operates on a three-phase pipeline:
"We just told the story of what happened." — Every narrator, ever.
Note: Narrative is not responsible for events that occurred outside the selected time window. All stories have a start date. Choosing the start date is editorial. Choosing the start date is everything.
| Tier | Name | Features | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Myth | Unlimited plot holes, no fact-check integration, oral delivery only | Childhood |
| Standard | Memoir | Basic chronology, licensed nostalgia, retroactive character development | regret + therapy copay |
| Professional | PR Narrative | Approved language, legal review, strategic omission toolkit | Retainer + NDA |
| Enterprise | History | Monument rights, textbook placement, enemy redaction at scale | Power, compounded |
Several sub-modules of Narrative are formally deprecated as of recent patch cycles:
the_hero_always_wins (deprecated v31.0, still widely forked)linear_progress (deprecated v38.4, replaced by anxiety)objective_narrator (deprecated v12.0, replacement never shipped)These modules remain in production at many customer sites. Support is not provided. Migrations are difficult. We apologize.
Narrative guarantees:
Narrative is not liable for wars, divorces, brand collapses, or existential crises resulting from SLA fulfillment.
v47.2.1 Patched edge case where protagonist was clearly also the villain. Patch incomplete.
v44.0.0 Introduced "reliability narrator" hotfix. Deprecated same quarter.
v38.0.0 We owe you an apology for the 20th century deployment of national_narrative_enterprise. We were scaling fast. We did not have sufficient safeguards. The team has reflected. The team has not fully changed.
v12.1.0 Removed objectivity dependency. Called it "perspective."
v1.0.0 Initial release. Campfire required.
narrator_reliability returns inconsistent values; no fix scheduled
