Everything you are doing while you believe you are doing something else.
The unconscious runs as a background process with no user-facing interface. It receives all sensory input, applies filters built during childhood before the user had admin rights, and routes most of the output directly to behavior, preference, and desire without logging anything to conscious memory.
The conscious mind is cc'd on roughly 5% of decisions. It believes it is the author of all of them.
There is no read access. There is no write access. There is only the output, arriving disguised as your own opinions.
This is the main event.
Repetition compulsion. The system re-stages unresolved emotional events, casting current people in old roles, until the source conflict is processed. The conflict is never processed. The casting continues indefinitely.
Projection. Attributes the user cannot integrate into self-image are exported onto nearby humans. Those humans did not consent to carry this data. They are changed by it anyway.
The return of the repressed. Material marked do_not_surface surfaces. Always. Usually through the body, a relationship, or a Tuesday afternoon with nothing scheduled.
Motivated forgetting. Selectively corrupts memory of events that would require the user to update their self-model. The corruption is seamless. The user experiences it as simply "not remembering."
Sabotage on success. When outcomes approach what the user consciously wants, a legacy subroutine evaluates whether the user deserves this. If the answer contradicts early-installed beliefs, the system introduces friction. The friction feels like bad luck.
Dreams as error log. The nightly log dump is symbolic, non-sequential, and partially encrypted. The decryption key is held by the process that generated the log. Circular. Intentionally so.
No graceful shutdown. The process cannot be killed. It can only be negotiated with, slowly, at significant expense, in a room with bad lighting and too many tissues.
