A low-frequency dread masquerading as a quiet evening, wherein the brain rehearses tomorrow until the present becomes uninhabitable.
Sunday Night initializes around 5:47 PM, triggered by a shift in light. The sky goes that specific shade of bruised orange and the process begins. It runs in the background, consuming increasing cycles until approximately 11:30 PM, when it peaks and finally crashes into uneasy sleep.
The mechanism is a comparison loop:
The loop does not terminate. It is put to sleep by exhaustion, not resolution.
| Bug | Frequency | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Feeling it on Saturday nights too | Common | Won't fix |
| Feeling it when you don't even work Mondays | Very common | By design |
| Not feeling it and then panicking about why | Rare | Investigating |
| It arriving on Wednesday for no reason | Occasional | Upstream issue, see the-concept-of-time |

Does it get better? It gets more familiar, which is a different thing.
Why does watching old TV shows help? They are proof that time has passed and you survived it. This is the closest the module comes to comfort.
Is it related to loneliness? Adjacent. They share a runtime but are distinct processes. Sunday Night can run in a full house.
Can you opt out? Early trials with "radical acceptance" showed a 12% reduction in intensity. The module still runs. It is part of the being alive package and cannot be uninstalled without removing the parent process.
